Welcome to Our Home Tour
Saturday, October 16
11:00AM
Imagine what life was like for the children of Harriet Beecher Stowe, the most famous American woman of the nineteenth century. If your mother wrote the best-selling novel of the century, was an ardent opponent of slavery and a worldwide celebrity what would your life be like?
Now imagine visiting Stowe's home with one of her daughters.
Hattie (one of Stowe's twin daughters) lived with her parents on Forest Street and is a gracious host with many family stories to share. Today, Hattie (portrayed by an historic interpreter) is ready and eager to take you on a first person living history tour of Stowe's charming Victorian Gothic Revival home.
Come to the Stowe Center for a living history tour of the Stowe family home with costumed interpreters portraying Stowe's twin daughters (Hattie and Eliza) as adults.
Offered the third Saturday of every month at 11AM. Space is limited. Make an advance reservation to 860.522.9258 x317 or Info@StoweCenter.org.
