Pink and White Tyranny by Harriet Beecher Stowe (1871)
Thursday, October 7
5:00PM - 6:30PM
At the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center
The first of Stowe's light "society" novels (with a character that many love to hate) takes aim at the Gilded Age trend of raising women of more fluff than substance.
Arrive at 5PM for refreshments and introductions. The discussion begins at 5:30 and ends promptly at 6:30.
Nook Farm Book Club events are free (thanks to the CT Humanities Council, the Stowe Center and the Twain House) but please make a reservation to 860.522.9258 x317 or info@stowecenter.org.
