Book: The Juneteenth Story: Celebrating the End of Slavery in the United States by Alliah L. Agostini
Activity: Juneteenth Lawn “Flags”
Participants will use popsicle sticks or tongue depressors to create a flag, painting one side red, black, and green, and the other red, white, and blue to represent both Juneteenth flags.
Inheriting Freedom: An Intergenerational Tour sparks conversations about justice for all ages. Weaving the stories of abolitionists like Frederick Douglass and Anna Murray Douglass. Explore Harriet Beecher Stowe’s legacy in the context of 19th century efforts emphasizing love, family, and freedom.
