The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center invites visitors to view its latest tour experience designed for the deaf and hard-of-hearing guests’ exploration of our historic site. These videos investigate the themes of four rooms in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s house: the dining room, back parlor, master bedroom, and the Impact Gallery. Each video includes American Sign Language interpretation by Jeff Bravin, Executive Director of the American School for the Deaf, closed captioning, a voice-over, and accompanying photographs of the spaces. As part of the Stowe Center’s efforts to expand its offerings to visitors, we are grateful for the generous support of the McDonald Family Trust and the American School of the Deaf to help bring this interpretation of Stowe’s home and life.
