The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center and UAW Local 2110 released the following joint statement after signing a first-of-its-kind historic collective bargaining agreement in Connecticut.
We are pleased that after a respectful collective bargaining process, we have come to an agreement that is satisfying for all.
This contract breaks new ground for museums in Connecticut. The agreement strengthens the Stowe Center as an organization and its commitment to social justice.
We are eager to work together, in this new relationship, to continue the important change-making mission of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center.
The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center preserves and interprets Stowe’s Hartford home and the Center’s historic collections, promotes vibrant discussion of her life and work, and inspires commitment to social justice and positive change.
